Job Purpose/Role

The external Regional Vice President (RVP) wholesaler opportunity will be focused primarily on the Broker Dealer marketplace representing assigned carriers and approved Annuity products. The RVP will manage a specific geographical territory and will be responsible for conducting business in a traditional financial services distribution model by meeting with clients in person. WealthVest will provide significant internal sales, Marketing, key account and thought leadership and competitive intelligence support to assist the RVP in developing and growing business in their assigned territory

Responsibilities

  • Executes on a minimum required sales meetings per month.

  • Accurate in documentation of all meetings for tracking and reimbursement purposes.

  • Ensures integration of key technologies - Salesforce and Concur solutions.

  • Commits time and resources to driving attendance at road shows and broker / dealer meetings

  • The RVP will be provided with a specific geographical territory and will be responsible to conduct business by contacting and holding meetings with clients.

  • Educate financial professionals about our product and marketing offerings within the context of their business.

  • Take a consultative approach identifying opportunities where annuities might fit.

  • Build and execute cadences to systematically foster new relationships in the territory.

  • Leverage technology to build your brand (phone, email, social media, virtual meetings, recorded video).

  • Conduct due diligence for your prospects prior to engaging with them. (Firm, area, personal, business, focuses).

  • Coach advisors on enhancing their brand using technology. Lead this by example.

  • Coordinate with the Marketing Department to create compelling messaging and valuable content that advisors can position with their clients.

  • Develop insurance product knowledge of features and benefits. Share that knowledge with team members and advisors.

  • Learn the current suite of value-adds available to financial professionals by firm and know your value proposition.

  • Build an understanding of key competitors and possess the ability to effectively position our solutions.

  • Adhere to a sales process using resources the Company provides.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the CRM system with a focus on data-hygiene and consistent utilization to ensure organization.

  • Master the key differences in firm structure and the rules of engagement within each one.

  • Collaborate with team members to design and align your messaging to maximize effectiveness.

  • Establish product research and analysis capability.

  • Assist in the development and circulation of sales ideas to meet specific investor needs and share those ideas with advisors.

  • Adhere to KPI (Key Performance Indicators) expectations.

  • Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Key Requirements, Skills & Experience

  • Broad knowledge of insurance and annuity principles

  • 3-5 years of external wholesaler experience preferred. Talented individuals with significant sales desk experience and success will also be highly considered.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team – critical to build and maintain close partnership with Internal Wholesaler & Case Management as part of a team approach to the market.

  • Proven experience working with Centers of Influence to drive group events and other leveraged meetings.

  • RVP core KPIs & activities are expected to be driven through in-person meetings. Competency using remote selling tools is also required.

  • RVP will be expected to manage & log activity of their business through WealthVest’s Salesforce CRM platform.

  • Aptitude to manage a portfolio of product solutions – with ability to drive adoption and sales through the creation & delivery of compelling ‘sales stories’, trainings and other means of communication.

  • Required to hold or obtain all necessary license in all jurisdictions where Regional Vice President will conduct business.

  • Required to hold or obtain all mandatory certifications and continuing education requirements.

  • Problem solving and decision-making ability.

  • Motivated with strong work ethic and positive attitude.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism. Demonstrating an Integrity-first mindset.

  • Domestic travel required inside assigned territory & requisite corporate travel for internal meetings & conferences.
